The last few years have seen somewhat of a convergence in Scottish football after a few decades worth of change. The re-unification of the SPL and SFL under the SPFL banner has widely been considered great for the game, with the play-offs between the Premiership and Championship being widely exciting for both the few end of season games and the race to be apart (or not) of them. It’s officially summer now, and the songs I’ve listened to this month have generally been stereotypical summery pop songs or dance tracks. Here are my favourites that I’ve added to my iTunes in June: Adam and the Ants – “Stand and Deliver” An 80s classic, with a guitar riff that is classic, I’m amazed that it took me this long to find this song. This month marked an important anniversary for one of music’s biggest institutions. It’s not a band, or a label, but iTunes. Ten years ago iTunes launched their now all-powerful music store, ushering in the dawn of digital music in a real sense. It’s a weird feeling that I’m halfway through my uni days already. It doesn’t seem that long since I arrived in Aberdeen for Freshers’ Week, but now the real hard work is on the way and in a sense everything that I’ve done in education has built up to these next two years.
